The igotchi is cute, but very basic. When I see "gotchi" I think Tamagotchi, which evolves and has different life stages and different growths. Igotchi should be similar somehow.
You should start off with an egg, choose male or female, and pick your color.
Your igotchi will hatch into a round, furry blob that kind of glides along the floor. It's mouth will be hidden under the fur, but when it eats you will see some type of eating motion. The "baby" stage only eats from a bottle so you only feed a bottle to it, and petting it increases health/happiness.
Mabye the gotchi will go poo and you have to clean after it and eventually potty train it or when older it takes a shower/bath.
Once it is with you after a day it will grow to the next stage, but after this every 2 days it will grow. Now it will look like the igotchi we all know, no eyes/mouth, but gets taller and grows legs.
After this stage it should develop eyes (1,2, or 3 eyes, it will be a surprise) and see the mouth.
Next stage it will develop arms, either 2 arms + 2 legs (like a person) or 4 arms + 2 legs (so it look like an insect with 6 legs)
After this stage mabye have a stage where it grows wings or a tail, or, if it's "humanlike", gets a more developed head.
I have so many ideas for different growth stages and body types I wont eleborate until I know they want to use the idea possibly.
Here are some ideas for the app.
Give igotchi a haircut, have igotchi respond to your voice and talk to you once in a while, have it interact with other igotchis on virtual playground we connect via wifi, send gifts to friend gotchi's, have igotchis marry and have a baby egg you can keep or give to adoption agency (only eggs can produce special LE colored igotchi's), have some i gotchis with spots or stripes or special "skins" like holiday skins (ex. christmas would be red and green fur or halloween orange and black fur) have I gotchi learn to drive,swim,cook, use toilet,shower, play basketball, jump over hurdles, race other i gotchis, etc...
I am full of ideas!
